Conceived by alumnus Kailesh Karavadra and led by Dr Andy Goodman, senior lecturer in design, the BUILT programme invites students to form interdisciplinary teams who are tasked with devising innovative solutions to a food-based challenge.
This hands-on experience is intended to inspire and educate students along the entrepreneurial path, from the first spark of an idea informed by research and design to generating a marketable prototype. Central to this experience, alumni mentors have shared essential insights and support helping the teams to nurture their emerging ideas and navigate entrepreneurial complexities.
The 2024 programme culminated on 2 May with a grand finale in which teams presented their solutions to an independent judging panel. The winning team, Team Tatws, received the 拢10,000 Mabel Evans Award for Innovation donated by alumnus Jonathan Wright (1999, Social Policy/Criminology & Criminal Justice) in memory of his great-grandmother and a further 拢5,000 was awarded to the runners up, thanks to alumni donations to the Development and Alumni Relations Office-administered 香港六合彩挂牌资料 Fund.
香港六合彩挂牌资料 is also grateful to Succession Wealth for sponsoring the evening.
