Before you arrive
- Plan, plan, plan! Look at the programme to decide which talks and tours you’re interested in and find out when and where they’re happening.Ìý
- Make a note of questions you want to ask about the course/s you’ve applied for as well as student life.
- Allow plenty of time to travel to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ. Take a look at the location map below. (Please note: the Radiography Applicant Day will be held at theÌýWrexham campus).
- Think about what to wear –Ìý you’ll do a lot of walking between venues and locations, so you need to wear shoes that you’ll be happy to walk about in all day. We can’t guarantee what the weather will be like either – so bring a coat or jacket with you.

Upon arrival
- Use the postcode LL57 2DG in your Sat Nav or follow the signs for the University to bring you to the Main University Building on College Road.Ìý(Please note:Ìýthe Radiography Applicant Day will be held at theÌýWrexham campus).
- Staff will direct you to the nearest available parking spaces in the car parks along College Road.Ìý
- Upon arrival, head for our ‘sign-in area’ in Prichard-Jones Hall (PJ Hall), in the Main Arts Building on College Road.Ìý
- There’ll be free tea and coffee in the Hall, and there’ll be plenty of staff and student helpers around to direct you to the next part of your day.
- If in doubt about where to go or what to do next, just ask anyone in either a bright teal Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ t-shirt (staff helpers) or purple Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ t-shirt (student guides).
- You'll get a printed programme so that you have that to hand throughout the day.
- While you’re in PJ Hall, have a look around the exhibition stands there which include the Students’ Union and a wide range of support services.Ìý
Throughout the day
- You’ll be able to make the most of the Applicant Day, if you’ve already decided what activities you want to attend and have checked the programme for the exact locations.Ìý
- The focus of the day is on your chosen subject area/s. There’s a 90-minute slot for your subject area, where you can attend a subject taster session as well as get a chance to meet with staff and current students.Ìý
- These sessions are your chance to learn more about studying your chosen subject at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ. Make sure you ask the questions you want answers to and gain as much insight as you can into being a student here. Ìý
- The exhibition in Prichard-Jones Hall (PJ Hall, Main Arts building) brings together a wide range of support services in one place. If you have a specific question about your offer, want to know more about disability support, or find out more about the Students’ Union’s free clubs and societies – then you’ll find the relevant exhibition stands in PJ Hall with staff and students there to answer your questions.
- Make the most of opportunities to speak to students who are studying the course you’re interested in. They’ll be happy to answer your questions and give you an insight into what it’s like to be studying that course.
- Try not to be shy, this is your chance to get the lowdown on where you could be spending the next three or four years. Remember not to let your family or friends dominate the conversation, as you will be the one studying here!
- Try not to cut your visit short - make sure that you see everything that you can fit in, it will be worth it.
- Make notes and take photos on your phone to help remember things more accurately later.
