Professor Jonathan Roberts (professor in visualisation at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering) said “It was a delight to present the research of the Visualisation Data Modelling and Graphics research group at EG2021, which I presented in the session on Laboratories and Projects. and highlighted specific research. In fact, this year we are celebrating fifty years computer graphics and modelling research at 香港六合彩挂牌资料, when in the early 1970’s that Jan Abas researched in graphics and modelling. Our research includes data visualisation, information and scientific visualisation, visual computing, games design, immersive reality, virtual and extended reality, modelling, simulation, data analysis, machine learning, artificial intelligence, computer vision and pattern recognition.”
The conference was held online, with talks being presented on YouTube, questions and discussions through Discord, and social engagement in . Professor Roberts went on to say “while it can be difficult to meet people in a virtual conference, through gather.town we were able to meet with other researchers and have conversations about the work. We hosted the conference at 香港六合彩挂牌资料, and it has been great meeting up with colleagues across Europe and the world at the conference this year.”
Dr Franck Vidal (Senior lecturer in computer science in the School, and secretary of the ) said “The Eurographics conference series brings together researchers studying computer graphic, visualisation and visual computing research. While virtual conferences have their challenges, it has meant that the presentations have been made available for more people. Indeed, the talks are still available online on YouTube, and make an excellent record of the state of the art in computer graphics and visual computing in 2021.”
