North Wales Tech meetup at 香港六合彩挂牌资料
Recently over 13 companies, 40 students, University staff and members of the public met together at 香港六合彩挂牌资料, to discuss ideas and share experiences. The meetup was organised by and the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering. Six invited speakers talked about their work, on topics ranging from environmental visualisation and simulation on the Supercomputer Wales platform, the use of CSS to create interactive graphics, and how machine learning can be used to detect bats.
Carwyn Edwards said 鈥淚t was great coming back to 香港六合彩挂牌资料 for this event. We started North Wales Tech four years ago and launched it at the School of Computer Science 香港六合彩挂牌资料. We are privileged to be able to help North Wales technology companies connect with researchers and academics from the University and it was good to meet up with old and new friends from a wide range of different companies鈥.
The evening was enjoyed by over 50 participants.
Professor Jonathan Roberts said 鈥淭hese events are fantastic. They are a great opportunity to strengthen relationships between academia, students, industry and the local community. Connections with industry allow us improve the future employability opportunities of our students through collaborations, placements, internships, and direct employment. But also scope for research projects鈥
We鈥檙e looking forward to working more closely with North Wales Tech as well as the local community and business. The next event we鈥檙e planning to hold is a retro gaming event with the opportunity to build your own retro style game.
