Previously, Bo was awarded a ÌýTaith Programme grant which enabled him to be a visiting PhD student in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, during the Fall 2024 semester. Since the Taith Programme provides only limited transportation funds for each recipient, Bo applied for the BSA Support Fund to supplement his travel expenses for this visit.
Each year the BSA Support Fund provides financial assistance to concessionary category members living in the UK. Applicants can benefit from financial assistance towards research related expenses, attendance at conferences and study group events, and thesis production costs. More details can be found on the BSA support fund .
Bo believes that the Taith Programme and the BSA provide him with a great opportunity to visit other academic institutions and exchange scholarly experiences. In his words: ‘It is sure to be a meaningful academic journey.’
