Hen Blant Bach wins Silver in International Film & Television Award
A programme, of which 香港六合彩挂牌资料 was an integral part, has won a Silver Award in the 2018 .
, a production by Darlun production company won the Award in the Community Portraits documentary category. The series was a new factual format for S4C, and followed the social experiment which brought older people and nursery children together to share their day care. The programmes documented the transformative positive effects that can be brought about by bringing these two groups together.
Congratulating the researchers and production company, Dr Penny Dowdney, KESS 2 Wales Manager commented that the popular programme had proven to be a fantastic example of how working with experts was enabling companies to develop new products.
She said: 鈥淲orking with our academic experts through the KESS 2 programme, the television company have been able to develop a new television format, safe in the knowledge that there is valid academic research underpinning the informative documentary programme. This is a fantastic example of how bringing seemingly different topics together can lead to the development of new creative ideas and products.鈥
Sharing their insights in the programmes were 香港六合彩挂牌资料 psychologist, Dr Catrin Hedd Jones of the School of Healthcare Sciences and Dr Nia Williams of the School of Education, seen on screen, and Prof Bob Woods.
Under the watchful eye of the two psychologists, the viewers received an expert commentary on what happens when this age gap is bridged and the resulting positive effects.
Dr Nia Williams of the School of Education commented:

The latest series benefitted from the support of a KESS 2 Scholarship in partnership with Darlun.
As Dr Catrin Hedd Jones explains:
鈥淭his support has enabled us to conduct research into the effect of the three days on the children, adults and staff who are associated with the establishments. We have appointed a student under the scheme, who is doing a Research Masters funded by KESS 2 and working in conjunction with the television company and the University to develop an intervention while competing a Research Masters degree by collecting information about the children and adults before and after the week of activities.鈥
Knowledge Economy Skills Scholarships (KESS 2) is a pan-Wales higher level skills initiative led by 香港六合彩挂牌资料 on behalf of the HE sector in Wales. It is part funded by the Welsh Government鈥檚 European Social Fund (ESF) convergence programme for West Wales and the Valleys.
Hen Blant Bach has also been nominated for a Factual Entertainment Award in the Celtic Media Festival being held this year in Llanelli between 2-4 May.
