Teaching Fellowship Dr Caroline Bowman
has just been awarded a 香港六合彩挂牌资料 Teaching Fellowship in recognition of her excellence in teaching and her outstanding contribution to student support.
Dr Bowman is the Psychology Director of Undergraduate Studies and, in this capacity, she has single-handedly driven initiatives designed to enhance the student experience, including the introduction of a yearbook for final year students, establishing integrative classes incorporating second language support into science content, and embedding the Welsh language into our scientific writing curriculum. Indeed, her tireless work with our third year students last year directly impacted on our record student satisfaction rates of 97% in the National Student Survey.
Dr Bowman also teaches on a large number of modules. She is independently responsible for managing and teaching a second year module in Biological Psychology, a Masters module in Consumer Psychology, and a Masters module in Communicating Research in Psychology. She also supervises project students and delivers pastoral support to first year undergraduates. All of her teaching consistently score highly in terms of student satisfaction, and her innovative approach to teaching has inspired colleagues across the school.
Despite her expansive workload, Dr Bowman has a unique ability to make each student feel recognised and appreciated as a valued individual. Perhaps the best evidence for her dedication to teaching excellence can be found in repeated nominations from the students themselves at the student-led teaching awards: Dr Bowman has been nominated for Excellence in Pastoral Care and Teacher of the Year every single year since the commencement of the awards."
