INDIAN STUDENTS CELEBRATE DIWALI WITH FIRST MINISTER OF WALES

As part of this year鈥檚 Diwali celebrations, Marcel Clusa from the University's International Student Support Office and six 香港六合彩挂牌资料 Indian students were invited to Cardiff for a special Diwali event, with Rt Hon Mark Drakeford, First Minister of Wales and Raj Aggarwal, the Honorary Consul of India in Wales.

Diwali is the festival of lights and one of the major festivals celebrated by Hindus, Jains, Sikhs and some Buddhists.

香港六合彩挂牌资料 students spoke with the First Minister of Wales, who acknowledged the importance of the 20,000 Indians currently working and studying in Wales for the future of this country and for the future relations between Wales and India.

Wales has become a popular destination amongst prospective students from India over the past few years. This is mostly because of its rich cultural heritage, cost of living and its welcoming local community. Meeting the First Minister and Consul of India whilst representing 香港六合彩挂牌资料 was a proud and exciting moment for the society. Both the First Minister and Consul were welcoming and humble, and we had a good conversation with them, telling them about our studies and experience.
