Mari has been a Lecturer in Modern and Welsh History at 香港六合彩挂牌资料 since 2013, and her teaching and research focus on the 20th century. She is particularly fascinated by nationhood and identities in Wales, especially in north-east Wales, including how these intersect with rurality and everyday life. She has published on topics spanning devolution, monarchy, the nuclear industry and tattoos. This leads to Mari having an eclectic range of historical interests that complement ISWE鈥檚 mission, including animal history, food history and landscape studies. Mari embeds oral history in much of her practice, and has worked as part of ISWE鈥檚 bilingual oral history project with the Bodorgan Heritage trail. She is also part of the supervisory team on a number of ISWE PhDs, especially those that orient towards studies of the historical counties of Denbighshire and Flintshire, and intersections of land and nationalism. Mari is an Editorial Board member for the Welsh language history magazine, Hanes Byw, and contributes regularly to the Welsh media. In her leisure time, she is a passionate gardener and has pet chickens, which reinforce her immersion in ISWE鈥檚 work!
