Optimising medical technology
Research from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School has created important financial savings for local global leaders in medical technology,  Siemens Healthineers. Â
By examining the manufacturing processes of the company’s diagnostic kits, doctoral research student, Bukola Adetonwa, was able to make recommendations on efficiencies and sustainability. Â
The research project has made significant improvements to the department and our ability to effectively share knowledge. The success was down to the close collaboration, allowing the research approach to be adapted rapidly as challenges were encountered.
This project demonstrates how important university and industry collaborations are, and the value of learning, process efficiencies and cost-savings realised through such successful doctoral initiatives.
It has been a privilege to work with Siemens Healthineers.  I have learned so much through this process.  Siemens have been hugely supportive and have helped me grow as a knowledge officer and early career researcher
