How has your career developed since graduating from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, and what is your current job role?

I joined a 2-year graduate consulting programme at Sopra Steria – a European leader in Digital Transformation. As a Junior Consultant I supported a retail client adopting the latest technology innovations to improve their processes. With Covid changing the working landscape, I adapted to remote working and assisted our internal practices to change their propositions for the ‘new normal’. Since finishing the graduate programme I have gone on to work inside digital innovation and community impact teams. I have now been with Sopra Steria for 3 years, and currently work as a Senior Social Value Consultant helping our clients create tangible and lasting impact which drives positive change throughout their businesses and society.

Why did you choose to study at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

I wanted to study at a University where students are viewed as more than just another number. Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School showed me the potential of who I could be in the future, and the pathway to reaching it. They understood my motivations.

How has your degree and experiences at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School influenced your career/life?

I would not have the career I pursued without studying at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School. I acquired knowledge beyond the degree. By learning from lecturers with industry experience, I gained an understanding of the practical application of academic studies. It helped me tackle genuine business problems facing clients in my industry.

What advice would you give to students studying in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School offers you a chance to explore different aspects of Business and find the right subject area to specialise in. Things you didn’t plan to study can offer the most value for your development. Be open to new opportunities. Don’t be afraid to take on the unknown.

What was the best thing about studying at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

The staff. Lecturers and administrators always made time to have discussions on both academic and personal life. They are real people who genuinely cared about my welfare and wanted to support my goals. They helped me achieve my best.

In what ways did studying in the Business School enhance your employability?

Lecturers with industry experience gave me insights into the future of work. They taught me the importance of knowing your customer. Through their knowledge I discovered which skills would be the most valuable across different industries. They helped my develop them.
