How has your career developed since graduating from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, and what is your current job role?

Graduating from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ was a transformative experience for me both professionally and personally. Having worked in one of the big four professional services firms in India, I was looking forward to building on the skills I had acquired over the years as a Finance professional. Currently I am a Financial Consultant at Deloitte UK. Studying for an MBA in Finance at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ gave me the opportunity to work on a series of team projects through which I was able to develop skills in teamwork, negotiation, and people management.

Why did you choose to study at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

Choosing Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ was based on the University reputation, faculty, and location for me. But I say now, it was no coincidence - I was meant to be there. Studying Finance was something I liked but studying various modules and having the liberty to choose your modules made me love the course. It made me more interested in the field.

How has your degree and experiences at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School influenced your career/life?

I was very glad I chose Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ since I gained a lot of different experiences, learned numerous new skills, and found my future employment direction. I also encountered setbacks and learnt to face and solve them. I became more confident, independent, stronger, and brave.

What advice would you give to students studying in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

I found living in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ very convenient. Most people were not used to the food when they first arrived, but luckily there were a few Indian restaurants. If you wanted to cook for yourself, there were a couple of Indian/Pakistani stores on High Street. Almost everything you needed could be found in these two supermarkets.

What was the best thing about studying at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

The best thing about studying in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ was the teaching staff who were extremely welcoming and supportive. I am still grateful for all the help I received especially during challenging times of the Pandemic. Additionally, the University had a lot of societies/programs that are designed for international students to interact with students from other diverse groups.

In what ways did studying in the Business School enhance your employability?

While studying at the University, I was able to enhance and develop my knowledge which helped me build strong connections and networks. I was also able to acquire management and leadership skills which I have been able to use to bring out the best abilities of my team members.
