How has your career developed since graduating from Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, and what is your current job role?

I secured an operations management role with The Halo Trust who are a mine action NGO. I completed 5 months training in Cambodia and then posted to Laos as an Operations Officer, I will be managing teams clearing land of UXO, aircraft bombs and cluster munitions as part of my role. Laos is the most bombed country in history due to the USA’s attempts to disrupt the Ho Chi Minh trail during the Vietnam War, it means a lot to me to be able to help the Laos nationals make their country a safer place to live.

How has your degree and experiences at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School influenced your career/life?

My MBA Environmental Management gave me leverage to obtain my current role with HALO and it also provided me with some new friends, including University staff who I will keep in touch with going forward. My online communication skills significantly improved due to the nature of the online course delivery and socialising.

What advice would you give to students studying in the Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Business School?

Get involved in as much as possible within your school and outside of it, networking is key for your career and you will learn transferrable skills from all sports, societies and volunteering roles. Keep working on your personal and professional development, make a personal development plan and keep on learning!
