Why Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ?
I heard about Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ from my overseas education agency and the reason I chose Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ was because it was the first university that gave me the official admission letter. I also found out it’s free to join the societies in this university which pleased me.
The International Ambassadors Scheme
I think the International Ambassador Scheme can help international students who feel a little isolated to enjoy their university lives by holding different trips and events. The reason I want to be international ambassador is I that want to help students who are facing the same adjustment difficulties that I was facing when I first came to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ.
The most difficult thing about being an International student
I think the most difficult thing we face is integrating into a new environment as international students are from different cultural backgrounds. They may find it a little harder to make friends and may feel out of place in the beginning.
The Course
I think the best thing about the course is the question and answer sessions in the class where the lecturers pick random students to answer the tasks, and when we get the answers correct we get rewarded with candies!
The Lecturers
The best thing about the academic school is the wide range of the subjects’ varieties and the options for students to change courses if they wish to. There are many courses for students to take, which will help with your future employability.
Clubs and Societies
I have joined the frisbee, boxing and the athletic societies. I enjoy most of the sports societies because I am a sporty person.
The best thing about Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ
The best thing about living in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ is enjoying good air quality and students can be close to nature. I will miss the Menai Bridge when I leave. When I am free from my studies, I like to go for a walk to the Menai Bridge and take pictures of the scenery along the way.
Support from the University
They are being supportive to students from my perspective. My personal tutor doesn’t mind giving us extra help when we are doing our assignments and she always encourages us to email her if we are struggling with writing our essays.
Advice for new International students
My advice will be telling them don’t be shy to meet different people here because the people are very friendly. Don’t be shy to ask for help from your tutors, as they will respond to your questions quickly.
The FutureÂ
Once I graduate from university, I am going to participate in work in the education sector as I have a passion for teaching people.
