Why did you choose 香港六合彩挂牌资料?
I choose to study at 香港六合彩挂牌资料 because of the incredible location, and having so many amazing environments on the doorstep to explore. On all of the open days I attended, the academic staff in my faculty were so welcoming and made me certain that I wanted to study conservation at this university.
The Course
The best thing about my course is all the opportunities that are offered in and out of the classroom. The School runs fieldtrips throughout the academic year, and this is a great way to be able to learn about conservation and ecology in the natural environment and apply theory to practice within the field. All the lecturers are very approachable and encourage you to make the most of opportunities within the school, whether this is fieldtrips, study abroad years or choosing to do a placement year. Regardless, they will help you achieve the most from your degree.
Clubs and Societies
Within the university, I have been involved with a number of clubs and societies. I am part of 香港六合彩挂牌资料 Women鈥檚 Tennis team and have also been involved with the Windsurfing club, Conservation Society and practical workdays with the Snowdonia society. There are so many opportunities in terms of clubs and societies so it can be hard to choose what to get involved with, but there is definitely something for everyone.
The Location
The thing I love most about 香港六合彩挂牌资料 is how close it is to so many diverse natural environments, making it so easy to get outdoors. I can be hiking in the Snowdonia National park in the morning and be paddle boarding around the coastline by the afternoon, so there definitely isn鈥檛 a shortage of outdoor adventures to be had in the region. Every week you can discover somewhere new and is a great way to spend time with friends and clear your head when you have had a busy week of studying.
Study Abroad and Placements
In my second year I did a study abroad year at University of Bergen, Norway, which was incredible. This required me to move to a new country, immerse myself in a different culture and study and live alongside a range of new people from diverse backgrounds. This experience has massively shaped me as an individual and has given me greater self-confidence, developed my cultural awareness and further fuelled my passion for travel and exploring new places. Not only did I study whilst living in Norway, but I was able to travel and discover the amazing landscape the country has to offer such as the mountains and fjords. During my placement year, I did three placements over a 12-month period, two in the UK and one in Costa Rica. All three placements helped develop my skill base and allowed me to grow in confidence and have a stronger work ethic. However, Costa Rica was my highlight, as I had only carried out conservation work within the UK prior to this, therefore allowing me to explore a new area. This experience made me realize the area of conservation work I would like to pursue after I graduate. Both studying abroad and doing a placement year was amazing and has massively shaped me as an individual. I have met some incredible like-minded people who I now consider friends for life and this made both experiences even more incredible and rewarding.
