"I took part in an industrial placement scheme, which included a work experience placement with Lockhart Garratt Ltd. I was based in their office in Hampshire, working alongside their experienced team of professionals and learning the ropes of the business. 

The placement gave me a great insight into the workings of a leading environmental consultancy, and I was able to apply the knowledge and skills I had learnt in my courses to real life scenarios. It also enabled me to develop my communication skills, as I was required to liaise with both internal and external stakeholders on a regular basis. I was able to develop my understanding of the forestry industry and the importance of sustainable management and conservation. I was given the opportunity to take part in project meetings and helped to draft reports for clients.  

Overall, my placement year was a great success. I learnt a great deal and was able to develop my skills and knowledge in a professional environment. I now feel better equipped to tackle the challenges of the forestry industry and pursue a successful career in the sector."
