Why choose Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ? 

I chose to study here because of the opportunities offered by the location and surrounding landscape of Snowdonia National Park. 

The Course

What I have enjoyed most is the fieldwork.  The location and topics of fieldwork are varied and help to put theory into practice. 

Clubs and Societies

I study German as an extra-curricular for additional credit.  

Clubs and societies are free at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, which offers the incredible opportunity to try your hand at all available. Therefore, I have not exclusively been a member of any society but have trialed a variety including Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ Mountain Walking Society, Archery, Windsurfing, Dog Walking Society and many others.

I love its proximity to Snowdonia National Park and the Menai Strait. 

Studying Abroad

As part of the Erasmus + programme, I took a sandwich year between the second and third years.  My study location was in Joensuu, Finland with Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ’s partner universities: Karelia University of Applied Science and University of Eastern Finland. I was lucky to be granted the opportunity to take selective modules of my choice.  

Studying abroad offers an experience like no other; developing a network of friends internationally, learning about new cultures and opening yourself up to the wider world of opportunities, all while studying your chosen subject. Everyone has a different experience, it can be challenging but in the end it as opportunity not to be wasted.

For me, my time in Finland will always be remembered fondly; the climate, the culture and the people. It has opened up so many opportunities to me since. I am very proud to have lived abroad and to have pushed myself outside of my comfort zone.
