I attended Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ for my undergraduate degree and was impressed by the standard of teaching and amount of in the field experience I gained throughout my course. It was an easy decision to come back here for a Masters degree. 

The Course

The best thing about the course for me so far is the amount of practical experience I have gained. It's always good to get your hands dirty and learn how to conserve our natural environment in a hands on way.

I am a member of the Conservation Society, Zoosoc and Marine Mammal Society.

Work Placements

I completed my undergraduate degree in marine biology and worked as a seal keeper at a local zoo before returning to begin a Masters in conservation. During the time between my two degrees I also worked as a marine mammal medic along the coast of North Wales, rescuing seals, whales and dolphins, as well as a volunteer research scientist and surveyor with a number of marine charity organisations.

I quickly realised I was passionate about conservation and management and in the future hope to work in policy and planning for native British marine wildlife.
