Why choose ������ϲʹ�������?

������ϲʹ������� provided great opportunities and a variety module choices. I loved the landscape diversity I saw on Open Day visits, during which the staff and Peer Guide provided that little extra in all areas. I wanted an “authentic” university experience, so I decided at 18 I would move out of my family home for at least 3 years anyway. The low cost of living here also made moving more attractive because I wanted to be independent. 

The Course

The best thing so far was the opportunity to go abroad for field trips in Year 2. This massively improved my confidence in talking to staff about work, interests and personal life, which has helped considerably this year when working on my dissertation. Every member of staff in the School has a very proactive approach to helping students and they are overall amazing people. 

Clubs and Societies

I have been involved in the Biological Society (BioSoc) since Year 1, progressively becoming more involved in the society, and now hold the committee position of Developmental Officer - I plan/organise all the society events. I have also been involved in the Disney Society, originally to help out a friend, but got involved in film night collaborations and fundraising. 

Life in ������ϲʹ�������

Believe it or not, I love the weather and the numerous amount of outdoor activities - I love walking up and around Snowdon, both in summer and winter. Everyone you meet and speak to are friendly and understanding, and the city has a great atmosphere when hosting events; the Food Festival on the pier and the annual Societies Ball are two of my personal favourites. It is also a reasonably cheap place to live, which is obviously ideal being a student.
