Studying at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ
I chose Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ because it is the only university that IÌýhad visited which has a Clinical Psychology specialism as a part of the undergraduate degree. Most other universities offered courses outside of my interest area within Psychology.
Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ's Psychology department was by far the best that I had visited when attending Open Days. The staff were extremely welcoming and emphasized the supportive nature that the School of Psychology has for all their students, which was important to me when choosing the university that I wanted to attend.
The course…
The best thing about the course is the range of modules that are available to study. You can tailor the final year of your degree to the areas of Psychology that you are particularly interested in, which may help you to progress into your employment and your further postgraduate study.
The School of Psychology is brilliant, all staff are extremely caring and welcoming to their students. They deliver excellent lectures that are interactive and tailored to our needs and interests. Students can receive the highest quality of teaching available that is focused on feedback and learning histories, so no one is disadvantaged. The staff are more than happy to help you with any queries and dedication and support. .
³§³Ü±è±è´Ç°ù³Ù…
The University has been supportive throughout the last three years. The Student Services department has left the Halls. They provide you with the necessary resources and information about how to move out of a property.
Clubs and Societies…
Over the last three years, I have been involved in some societies such as Comedy Society, Dog Walking Society, Psych Soc, and the LGBTQ+ Society which have all been incredible with the sessions that they offer and social events that they hold.
Social activities…
I enjoyed going out to the pubs with friends either for a quiet drink or for pub crawls, all of which have friendly staff and fun events that the hold like quizzes and open mic nights.
Living in halls…
I lived in Halls for my first year and it was where I met my friends and course mate, it is a very good environment for getting you out of your shell and establishing social relationships with other students within your flats and other accommodation sites.
What do you like about Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ?
I like that Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ is a very quaint city with a lot of gorgeous scenery and opportunity to explore the outdoors. You can walk to the pier or travel a short distance to Snowdonia, Anglesey and Llandudno - all of which also have a lot of great opportunities and activities that can be done there. Additionally, I like how accessible everything is regardless if you live in Upper or Lower Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ as all amenities are within a short walking distance from one another.
I’ll be staying in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ for a Postgraduate study in Applied Behaviour Analysis this year, which has definitely been influenced by the warmth and welcoming nature of all the staff within the university and my academic school.
