The International Mentor Scheme

I have been thinking of ways in which I can contribute to the university and the students, and I remember how kindly other international students had helped me since I first arrived in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, which encouraged me to apply to be a mentor. I also remember that I had felt a bit anxious, knowing that there were no Japanese and only a few asian international ambassadors before I entered the university, so I hope I can be someone that many asian and other students could turn to. I'd be very happy if I could help other students coming to Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, and I also wish to support them to fully enjoy their time at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ university through many interesting events.

Why Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ

It was very appealing that Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ had a lot of international students that I can interact with, and of course, the beauty of nature here shoud be one of the best reasons! The environment is a place where students can focus on their studies and it seems perfect as well.

Most beautiful thing about being an International Student at Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ

To be able to communicate with people from different cultures, exchanging each other's opinions which have various colours. This should make you open to the new world and step into your broader future!

The most difficult thing about being an International Student

Feeling involved must be one thing international students often find difficult, especially when there are less people who are from the same country as your home country.

Clubs and Societies

I have joined the Language Society, Boxing Club, Archery Club, and the Japanese Society.

What social activities do you enjoy

I feel happy when spending time with many people, so I like attending socials and balls of certain societies, or karaoke, sport activities and so on.

Advice for new International students

Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ is a very lovely place to pursue your interests and make as many friends as you wish! You do not have to be worried for anything because people here are very kind and we are always happy to help you.
