The game of rounders brought together a wide range of abilities
The initial game of rounders brought together a wide range of abilities in hitting and running. Divided into two teams, one with mostly electronic engineers and the other computer scientists, the players took to the field to enjoy the game. Talking of the game, Professor Jonathan Roberts (Professor in Visualisation) said 鈥We were fortunate to have a glorious sunny day, which allowed us to fully embrace the experience of chasing the ball and running across the field. As for the outcome, it resulted in a draw. Both teams successfully scoring rounders and executing remarkable catches. We had so much fun together. I have not laughed so much in ages.鈥澨
Following the captivating rounders match, the participants transitioned seamlessly into playing football. Speaking about the event, Dr Daniel Roberts (Director of Student Experience for the school) said
It's fantastic to see everyone coming together to celebrate the end of the exam period
Daniel went on to say,
The dedication and willingness of people to try their best was truly inspiring. The sheer enjoyment we derived from the experience is a testament to the remarkable spirit that thrives within our university community.
As a student, participating in this event allowed me to connect with fellow students and faculty members on a whole new level. It was refreshing to see everyone stepping out of their academic roles and simply enjoying the moment. I had an incredible and unforgettable time.
