Rhagolwg
I have a 2:1 Master's in Chemistry form Birmingham University, obtained 2005.
I started my midwifery training in Queen's University, Belfast in 2007 and completed my undergraduate in Midwifery, 1st Class in Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ in 2010. I worked in all areas of maternity care in and around Ïã¸ÛÁùºÏ²Ê¹ÒÅÆ×ÊÁÏ, Ysbyty Gwynedd till 2021 when I joined the university as part of the midwifery lecturer team.
I am particularly passionate around teaching anatomy and physiology and how this knowledge helps us to understand how and why we provide the care we give. Whilst I have worked in both community and complex hospital settings, maintaining choice for women and advocating for normal physiological processes when safe is a driving principle to my practice and my teaching, in line with current evidence.
I am also a PROMPT trainer both in the university and the local health board where practitioners from varuious disciplines in maternity care come togetehr to train in obstetric emergency procedures to help improve care and outcomes in clinical practice.
