[SHAILZA] Welcome, I'm Shailza and I'm going to show you around St Mary's Village today.

[SHAILZA] There are 600 rooms in St Mary's Village. The majority of them are en-suite rooms with private bathrooms. There are some studio apartments as well. There are townhouses and budget accommodations with shared bathrooms. All the bedrooms in St Mary's Village, except the budget accommodation, have a small double bed. This village is located on top of Lôn Popty, so walking up and down the

[SHAILZA] both within a 10-minute walk from St Mary's, and an amazing pizza place.

[DANIEL] "It's pretty much a very private

[DANIEL] environment. You know, you mind your business and go about life, your life, very normal. It's very quiet and very decent. And yeah, like I say, a lot of privacy here, and the facilities are also state-of-the-art, so we feel very comfortable."

[SHAILZA] This kitchen is usually shared between 8 to 12 people. This is a typical bed of townhouse. It's nice and spacious,

[SHAILZA] This is Bryn Eithin. This is where I live. This is St Mary's budget option.

[SHAILZA] So this is my room. As this is a budget accommodation, the bathrooms over here are shared,

[SHAILZA] This is Acapela. This is where a lot of the Campus Life events happen.Â
[CAMPUS CREW MEMBER] We host free events for students living in halls.Â
[CAMPUS CREW MEMBER] It's a good opportunity for students to meet new people, try new things, and have some fun whilst de-stressing from uni.

[SHAILZA] You'll get a free membership to the main gym and the sports centre. But if you want a quick workout, there's always a small on-site gym.

[SHAILZA] This is the typical bedroom on St Mary's. In the rooms, you get a four-foot bed,

[SHAILZA] which is a small double. There's a desk, chair with Wi-Fi included. You've got a wardrobe, bookshelf,

[SHAILZA] and waste bin, storage under the bed. You need to bring your own bedding, and you can put up your posters to make it look more homely.
And this is the en-suite.

[SHAILZA] If you want to watch TV, you need to get a TV license, and you're more than welcome to bring your own gaming consoles. There's a list of things you can't bring, and you can check that list on the University website.

[SHAILZA] Students are responsible for cleaning their own rooms, en suites, and their communal kitchens. Cleaners do come in weekly. They'll clean your surfaces, sinks, and mop your floor, but they won't do your dishes. Your rubbish and your recycling bins will be cleaned out once a week as well.

[SHAILZA] If you opt for a studio, things are a little bit different. There are four types of studios,

[SHAILZA] So why did you choose a studio apartment?
[STUDENT LIVING IN A STUDIO] "So for me, it was definitely about having my own kitchen. I really love to bake, I really love to cook, and I like being in control of the space. While I do that, I can't really be sharing it with other people."

[SHAILZA] The private kitchenette is equipped with the same items as the other kitchens. The main difference is that the cleaners don't come in, so you are responsible for cleaning your stuff.

[SHAILZA] All studios come with an en suite. At St Mary's, there's an approximately 42-week contract for undergraduates
